A planned outage for water system repair affects approximately 19 Talquin Electric Cooperative members in the Gadsden Regional Water System.
## Water System Maintenance Prompts Boil Water Notice Talquin Electric Cooperative has issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice for members within the Gadsden Regional Water System. The notice is a result of a planned outage scheduled for April 7, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., to allow for repair and maintenance of the water system. Approximately 19 water services are affected by this notice. ## Safety Precautions for Affected Residents Residents within the affected service area, located at 2120 Telogia Creek Rd, 3876-4796 Juniper Creek Rd, and 2700-5144 Providence Rd, are advised not to drink the water without boiling it first. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute and then allowed to cool before consumption or use in cooking. The system may also experience discolored tap water due to sediment shifting in the water main, which could tint or stain garments during washing. Running water from an outside spigot or bathtub faucet is recommended to flush the system before operating appliances. If sediment is present, it should be allowed to settle before drinking. ## Further Information For additional information or questions regarding the precautionary boil water notice, members can contact Talquin Electric Cooperative Water Services at (850) 562-2115.
