Penn-Trafford High School’s Television Production class, PTTV, earned recognition as the top high school broadcast program across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The Penn-Trafford School District announced the achievement on February 19, 2026, stating the program received the Bob Pompeani High School Broadcast Award. Point Park University’s School of Communication, in collaboration with KDKA anchor Bob Pompeani, presented the regional honor. PTTV advanced as a finalist after submitting a recorded broadcast, which led to an invitation to Point Park University. On February 14, PTTV students produced a live broadcast as part of the competition, competing against two other finalist schools. The team representing PTTV included seniors Chloe Stack, Brooklyn Usmiller, Maddy Longo, Alyssa Arko, and junior Allyson Paulone. Teacher Mr. Vinton oversaw the students' participation in the competition. ## Program Funding The PTTV program received a $1,000 prize alongside the regional recognition.
