Urban League of Greater Madison schedules June and July support clinics | The Locally Times

The organization hosts free legal, career, and family services at two Madison locations starting June 15.

The Urban League of Greater Madison scheduled a series of free community support clinics for June and July 2026. The programming includes career training, legal aid for expungement, and resources for child support and custody matters. ## Education Career Training The Classroom Academy for Student Supports, or CLASS, begins June 15, 2026. This program partners the Urban League of Greater Madison with the Madison Metropolitan School District, the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District, and the DeForest Area School District. The academy provides training for individuals seeking careers in youth education, specifically in special education roles. Sessions take place at 2222 S. Park Street, Suite 200. ## Legal and Family Support Clinics The Urban League scheduled an expungement clinic for June 29, 2026, at 2222 S. Park Street. This clinic provides criminal background reviews with an attorney to determine eligibility for the removal of arrest records or the expungement of convictions. Participants must pre-register for this service through the Urban League website. On July 17, 2026, the organization hosts a Child Support Legal Resource Clinic at the Southwest Madison Employment Center, 1233 McKenna Blvd. This clinic assists residents with child support, custody and placement questions, and driver’s license recovery. The event also provides connections to fatherhood support groups and employment services. Residents must RSVP for this clinic via an online link provided by the Urban League. ## Community Events The Urban League hosts the 2nd Annual Fatherhood Cookout on June 27, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Southwest Madison Employment Center. This event, a collaboration with Mt. Zion Men In Motion, offers food, games, music, and access to community resources. The 12th Annual Unity Picnic is scheduled for July 25, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Black Business Hub, 2352 S.
