Madison police responded to five overnight vehicle thefts on October 2, several after intruders entered homes off McKee Road.
The Madison Police Department responded to five reports of vehicles stolen overnight on the city's southwest side on October 2, 2026, from homes and neighborhoods off McKee Road. The department logged the case as a residential burglary under Case ID 2026-451495, with an incident date of October 2, 2026, at 7:50 a.m. on Grove Circle. A woman called police at 6:25 a.m. after finding her vehicle stolen from outside her Hartford Drive home. Around 7:30 a.m., a woman reported someone entered her home overnight and stole her vehicle in the 3800 block of Woodstone Dr., and a half hour later a Grove Circle resident reported a similar intrusion and theft. The Grove Circle resident's vehicle was located unoccupied in Fitchburg. Around 8:45 a.m. on Friday, a woman on the 6200 block of Camino Way reported her home was entered and her vehicle stolen overnight, and that vehicle was located on Waterford Circle. Another vehicle was stolen from Maple Run Ct. sometime early Friday morning, according to the police posting.
