The 2025 enrollment figure appeared in an October 1 release urging women not to skip or delay recommended breast cancer screening.
The program connects eligible women with free breast exams, mammograms, and other diagnostic tests, and eligibility is based on insurance and income status. The agency said it works to make sure lack of access is not a barrier to getting screened. Women who learn they have breast cancer may also be eligible for Wisconsin Well Woman Medicaid, which covers treatment costs for breast cancer. Residents can call 608-242-6385 or 608-242-6235 for Spanish-language enrollment, or email the team directly. Women who live outside Dane and Rock Counties should call 800-642-7837 or enroll online.
