Nye County's online tax sale, scheduled for May 1-4, 2026, requires prospective bidders to submit a $535 deposit by April 27. This deposit includes a $500 certified funds payment and a $35 processing fee. The sale will feature properties sold "AS IS," with buyers assuming all risks regarding their condition and any existing liens or encumbrances. As previously reported by The Locally Times, the county is conducting an online-only auction through Bid4Assets. Bidding begins at 9 a.m. on May 1, with closing times varying from noon on May 4. In addition to the deposit, a 10% buyer's premium, with a minimum of $100, will be added to all winning bids. Nye County's sole purpose for the sale is to recover delinquent taxes, and all sales are final. What to watch: Bidders are encouraged to conduct thorough research on properties before participating. The auction list will be available online and published in the Pahrump Valley Times and Tonopah Times-Bonanza. The settlement deadline for winning bids is May 6.
