Prince George's County launches DARTS platform for development application tracking | The Locally Times

The new web-based system replaces the previous internal monitoring tool, allowing users to submit applications and track progress online.

The Prince George’s County Planning Department has transitioned to the Development Application check Tracking System (DARTS), a web-based platform designed to manage land-use applications. The system, powered by Tyler Technologies’ EnerGOV software, replaces the former in-house Development Activity Monitoring System (DAMS). ## System Capabilities DARTS allows developers and residents to submit applications and pay fees through an online portal. The platform provides 24/7 access to project details, supporting documents, and the current status of active development cases. The Planning Department intends for the system to increase transparency by allowing residents to monitor the check process in real time. ## Implementation Status The department initiated a soft launch of the platform as of June 16, 2026. During this transition period, the Planning Department is soliciting feedback from developers and other users to refine the system. The department’s website now hosts training materials, including a manual for the Citizen Self-Service portal and a playlist of instructional videos on YouTube. ## Support and Resources Staff from the Planning Department remain available to assist with the transition. Inquiries regarding the new platform can be directed to the Development check Division at 301-952-4198 or via email at DRDApplications@ppd.mncppc.org. The department continues to publish weekly reports on accepted development applications, with the most recent list posted for the week of June 8, 2026. Further information regarding land use procedures remains available on the department’s official website.
