The new contract specifies that customers opting out of recycling will not be charged for that service, a change from the previous hauler's policy. Trash bins are scheduled for delivery during the week of May 18, 2026, followed by recycling bins during the week of May 25, 2026. The first pick-up by Dumpster Bandit will occur on June 2, 2026. To ensure uninterrupted service during the transition, city officials state that Dumpster Bandit will continue to empty any uncollected Waste Management bins for the first few weeks. Bi-weekly recycling service will continue to follow the same schedule currently used by the previous hauler, with no changes to existing zone splits or collection cycles.
