Malta Shredding Day April 11; Food Pantry Donations Sought | The Locally Times

The Town of Malta is hosting a free shredding event on April 11, requesting donations for the Malta Food Pantry.

## Free Shredding Day The Town of Malta will offer a free document shredding day on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The event, held in partnership with Confidata (Confidential Document Shredding), will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Malta Community Center, located at 1 Bayberry Drive. Volunteers will be available to assist residents with removing bags or boxes of documents for shredding. Each household is limited to five bags or boxes. ## Community Support Requested In conjunction with the shredding event, the Town of Malta is requesting donations for the Malta Food Pantry. Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, paper products, or toiletries. Proof of residency will be required for participation in the shredding event, which is open to Malta residents only. ## Upcoming Town Notices This event is part of ongoing community engagement efforts. The Town Board previously held public hearings on March 30, 2026, regarding Resolution No. 79 and Resolution No. 80. Additionally, a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) burn ban was in effect from March 16, 2025, to May 14, 2025.
